Cork Mental Health Seminar

On Monday, 12th October, our Fourth Year students attended the annual Cork Mental Health Seminar at Cork Opera House, organised by the Cork Mental Health Foundation as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

Students had the opportunity to hear from a number of inspiring speakers, including Clare Shine and Micheál Costello, who spoke openly and honestly about their personal struggles with mental health, the challenges they faced and their journeys towards success.

Their powerful stories highlighted the importance of resilience, seeking support when needed and recognising that mental health challenges do not have to define a person's future.

The seminar provided our students with valuable insights into the importance of looking after their mental wellbeing, supporting others and having the courage to ask for help.

A worthwhile and thought-provoking experience for our Fourth Year students, reinforcing the message that it's okay not to be okay, and that asking for help is a sign of strength.
