Working in groups, students created presentations exploring how Artificial Intelligence impacts their lives — from social media to schoolwork — and why it’s so important to use it safely and responsibly.
After anonymous class voting, 5 finalist groups were selected to present to the entire year group on the Friday before the St. Patrick’s weekend.
Huge congratulations to all finalists, and especially to our winning groups- 1st place, Finn O'Connor and Ryan Morley and 2nd place, Abbie O'Driscoll, Alona Deepak and Natasha Mawiwi - who impressed everyone with their knowledge, creativity, and teamwork well deserved prizes!
Being AI aware is an essential skill for our 1st Years. It helps them:
• Understand how AI works in everyday apps
• Think critically about information online
• Use technology safely, responsibly, and ethically
