Senior Girls Volleyball
Friday marked a significant achievement for the Senior Girls Volleyball team, who competed in the Volleyball Ireland Quarter-Final before progressing directly to the Semi-Final later the same day. The team faced strong opposition from Beaufort College and Wicklow ETSS in a highly competitive series of matches.
Congratulations to Beaufort College, who claimed victory on the day. St. Peter’s are extremely proud of the Senior Girls Volleyball team for reaching the semi-final stage, a testament to their commitment, determination, and hard work throughout the season.
The trip to Dublin was a memorable experience for all involved and was made even more special by the support of Ms Walsh and the many supporters who encouraged the team from start to finish.
A sincere thank you is extended to Sixth Year students and co-captains Aroa Recio and Natasza Watroba for their leadership and dedication to the team. Appreciation is also due to the Fourth Year students who joined the squad after attending work experience, as well as to their employers for facilitating their participation on the day.
Special thanks go to past pupil and coach Ozioma Mbakwe, who travelled from DCU to support the team and offer valuable coaching advice. Her experience and guidance were greatly appreciated by both players and staff.
Attention now turns to January, when the Junior Girls Volleyball team will compete in the Volleyball Ireland Junior Competition. We wish them every success.
